Bentley Continental GT revealed at Goodwood

The British subsidiary of Volkswagen hasn’t given us too many information lately on the new models it’s working on and somehow it managed to surprise through a model presentation this year at Goodwood festival. Bentley, a well known classic British auto producer prepares the launch of a new model and decided that there is no better place to present it to thew world than the Festival of Speed that takes place on national soil. First the unit was presented as a concept car at the Paris Auto Show and now Bentley Continental GT was revealed at Goodwood in front of a big audience.

Goodwood the Festival of Speed is the bets place where you could launch a race car like the Continental GT. This car with a slick and aerodynamic design is powered by a 4 liter V8 engine especially tuned for rallies. This monster develops 600 HP and all the power is sent to the rear through a six steps Xtrac gear box which can be activated with the pedals on the steering wheel, just like a professional rally car. Given the unit has so much speed and can endure some many HP the engineers from Bentley decided to make sure the breaks are impeccable thus they used a Brembo break system with ventilated steel disks and calipers with six pistons for the front and four pistons for the rear. Under these circumstances the driver can stop the car at any given time and the unit become easy to handle. Designed for races Bentley Continental GT weighs less than 1.399 Kg since many body parts are made out of carbon fiber and has a good aerodynamic with a modified hood, spoilers, front grill, massive carbon fiber aileron an OZ Racing 18 inch wheels.
